Travelling Sketchbooks – Israel and the West Bank image
One year ago I left Berlin to travel 5 weeks in Israel and the West Bank. I did the trip alone, so I was able to draw as much as I wanted. It is nice to see how different cultures "react" to someone drawing. In the West Bank, some people would stand quietly behind me watching. Sometimes so quitely that I once turned around to find a group of around 10 men had gathered behind me. With a small crowd looking over my shoulder it was hard to stay focused.
